What I eat to lose weight

Over time I more and more lean towards the Atkins type of thinking. I read more and more studies that show me how carbs and sugars are really bad for my health, besides causing weight gain. I have read how cancer cells can only metabilize glucose and that high insulin levels promote their growth. Good fats like olive oil, grape seed oil and fish oils are good for me.

I have not weighed myself since my last post but I have a much lower appetite now since I eat protein, vegitables and healthy fats. I am not driven to snack the way I often was.

Yea, I have been a sugar junkie since I was a kid. I find the only way I can back off something I like is by replacing it with something really good. Felling healthier is really good. Having more energy is really good.

I would be a big fat liar if I said I never have any ice cream or cookies, but not near as much, OK? It’s working.
