I haven’t tried this but it makes so much sense it sounds like it has to work. A friend of mine told me her brother did this and lost 20 pounds.
All he did was carry a notepad and write down everything he ate. That’s all. Duh!
I am speculating the awareness created by the activity of writing down every piece of food consumed throughout the day would give someone a different attitude toward all the food they eat. At the end of some days some of us would read it over and fall out of their chair. Doing this would make it easier to calculate the calories too. If you had a mind to do that.
I have heard of writing down money spent daily as a way to economize and apparently the concept carries over to wight loss. Maybe some people will try this on their television watching, or cursing, or worrying, or complaining. This could become a whole new industry. Don’t forget to send me my cut for giving you the idea.
This is probably part of why some of the websites where people share their diet information online seems to work. I tend to agree with Groucho Marx though, who said, ” I would never be a part of any group who would accept me as a member. Why wasn’t Karl Mark a comedian instead of a moron?
